Q: Can you breast feed after breast augmentation surgery?

A: Depending on the method of introduction 10-20 percent of women will not be able to breastfeed following surgery.

Q: Do implants increase the chance of breast cancer?

A: No. No studies have shown any increase in cancer patients with implants. Certain modifications are made during mammograms, patients should inform their radiologists before mammograms are done.

Q: Does insurance cover breast surgery?

A: Breast reduction surgery to alleviate back and shoulder pain and reconstruction for breast cancer are usually covered by most commercial insurance companies. Check with your individual company for specific policies.

Q: Can fat reappear after liposuction?

A: The fat cells that are removed do not return. If a patient gains weight after liposuction the treated areas usually increase less than non-treated areas. In other words the patient will gain weight disproportionately more in non-treated areas.
